Good for my small shop

So I needed something to send out emails for my little online shop and a friend told me about ActiveCampaign. I tried the free trial first, which was nice. Signed up for the Lite plan. It was pretty easy to get my first email template set up, took a bit of fiddling but nothing too bad. Sending out my first campaign felt good. The contact management bit is helpful to keep track of everyone. No issues really, it just works.

Decent features, bit pricey

I upgraded to get access to the Sales Pipelines feature for my small team. Functionality-wise, it's pretty solid and integrates well with our existing email automation. It's helped streamline our lead tracking, which was a mess before. The Win Probability metric is a nice touch, though I'm still getting used to trusting it. My only real gripe is the pricing. While the annual discount helps, it still feels a bit steep for a small business, especially when considering adding more users down the line. Setting up some of the more advanced custom objects also had a steeper learning curve than I expected, even with the docs. Overall, it does the job, but I'm always on the lookout for a more budget-friendly alternative with similar features.

Reliable automation, as always

I've been using ActiveCampaign for years, mainly for email marketing and CRM. This last renewal for the annual plan was smooth, just like previous times. The platform continues to be consistent; the Automation Map is still a lifesaver for visualizing flows. Support was quick to answer a minor billing question I had, took about 15 minutes to get a clear answer. Always a dependable service for my business needs.

Good for email marketing

I used ActiveCampaign for email marketing for my small business last month. It worked well enough for sending out newsletters. The setup for segments took a little longer than I expected, but it got the job done.

CRM and sales features are great!

I just got set up with ActiveCampaign for CRM and Sales Automation, and I'm genuinely impressed! The Sales Pipelines are so easy to visualize and manage, which was a huge pain point with my old system. Setting up the Predictive Sending was straightforward, and I'm already seeing better open rates. It took a couple of days to fully integrate with my Shopify store, but the support chat helped me through it. I'm telling all my colleagues about this for their businesses. Will definitely continue my subscription here!

Always reliable for automation

I've been using ActiveCampaign for years now for my marketing automation. This latest purchase, adding on the AI Marketing Agents, was as smooth as usual. Their platform has consistently delivered on email and sales processes. I did notice the reporting dashboard felt a bit cluttered compared to how it used to be, but overall, it's still my go-to for keeping things running. They're very dependable.

Does anyone know how to snag a discount for ActiveCampaign? I saw something about annual plans saving money, but are there actual promo codes floating around?

B Betty Williams 2 days ago
Promo codes are pretty rare, usually only pop up around big sales like Black Friday or if you get one from a specific partner. Your best bet for saving is definitely just doing the annual billing.

Yeah, I think the biggest discount most people get is the annual payment option, saves you like 20% right off the bat. They also have non-profit and startup pricing if that applies to you, heard those can be good deals.

Thinking of switching from Constant Contact. Is ActiveCampaign really that much better for automation stuff?

B Brandon Allen 6 days ago
Oh for sure. AC's automation builder is way more powerful and visual. You can set up some really complex workflows that Constant Contact just can't do.

I moved from CC a couple years back and never looked back. The segmenting and conditional logic in AC automations are a game changer.

Hey guys, thinking about signing up for ActiveCampaign. Is it really worth it over something like Mailchimp? Mostly for email stuff and maybe some basic automation.

J Jeff N. 1 week ago
Yeah, for automation AC is way better. Mailchimp gets clunky fast if you want anything beyond basic newsletters. AC lets you do a lot more complex workflows without breaking the bank.

Totally depends on your needs. If you're just starting out and literally only sending occasional emails, Mailchimp might be fine and cheaper. But if you're thinking about segmenting, tagging, or any kind of sales follow-up, ActiveCampaign blows it out of the water. Mailchimp's automations are kinda limited.

I'm on a Mailchimp free plan right now but want to move to something more robust. Does ActiveCampaign make it easy to transfer all my contacts and stuff over?

J James Thompson 6 days ago
They actually have a free migration service. I used it to move from Constant Contact and it was super smooth. Just talk to their sales team or support after you sign up.

Yep, I heard they help with that. Like, if you're coming from another big platform they'll handle importing your lists and even some of your old automation flows, I think. Saves a huge headache.

What's the deal with their pricing? Is it based on how many emails you send or how many contacts you have? Trying to figure out what plan I'd need.

D David Torres 4 weeks ago
It's mainly based on your contact list size. The more contacts, the higher the tier, which then unlocks more features too. Email sends are usually pretty generous within those tiers, not typically the main limit.

K Karen E. 3 weeks ago
afaik it's mostly contacts. You get a ton of emails included anyway. So just gotta decide how many people you want in your lists.
